Default Donald Trump Explains Dumbo Care

No one can sum it up better than Trump

Let me get this straight . . .
We're going to be "gifted" with a health care
plan we are forced to purchase and
fined if we don't,
Which purportedly covers at least
ten million more people,
without adding a single new doctor,
but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents,
written by a committee whose chairman
says he doesn't understand it,
passed by a Congress that didn't read it but
exempted themselves from it,
and signed by a Dumbo President who smokes,
with funding administered by a treasury chief who
didn't pay his taxes,
for which we'll be taxed for four years before any
benefits take effect,
by a government which has
already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare,
all to be overseen by a surgeon general
who is obese,
and financed by a country that's broke!!!!!
'What the hell could possibly go wrong?'

Trump? Really?

How many times has this genius gone bankrupt? And when are we going to hear the "very big" thing he's promised since last Spring from the investigators he sent to Hawaii to to get to the "truth" about Obama's birth certificate?

Trump-----pfffft! He can refer to Obama as "Dumbo" all he wants, but YouTube his reaction when "Dumbo" took him apart at the Correspondent's Dinner last Spring. He couldn't wait to get his pouty self outta there afterwards. Talk about having tissue-paper feelings.

It showed how "The" Donald can dish it out, but cannot take it.

Doesn't change the facts of the original post, if The Donald even said it.

Agreed: Medicaid for all wouldve been better.

I have to agree with this one, after looking at many alternatives. The government can cut enough fat from other things to provide health insurance for the masses. We do need smaller government in a lot of areas, but some things are good functions of government, and medicaid for all would be one, IMHO.

...and it would have been a hell of a lot cheaper!

So, Larry's on Obama's side. Big surprise there.

Is that you, Joe? lol

BTW, thinking Trump's a blowhard doesn't put me on Obama's side. It's just that Obama did pretty much deflate Donald (but, sadly, not that thing on his head) with a few humorous comments.

But you keep on jumping at those "Larry" shadows----Joe.

So you would trust government to provide medicaid for all? Medicaid is in financial trouble, they get out of it by reducing reimbursements to healthcare providers, healthcare providers quit providing medicaid services, the result, rationed medical care. Good Choice

Yeah, lets put 17% of our economy in the hands of the same government that misplaces $300 million, and pays hundreds for toilet seats.

The problem is not so much with providing medical coverage via the medicaid model, but more about the fact that we don't have a government that we can trust to look out for our best interests. Therefore, let's focus on changing that government so that we can trust it to look out for it's citizens.

Something's gotta give so we can put the "of the people, by the people and for the people" back in to government.

I have a theory, when lawmakers create of expand social programs it isn't as much for the benefit of the people as it is for their friends in private business. In turn the friends pay the lawmakers back with donations, gifts, free services, and when they retire or voted out of office, a nice cushy job with a huge salary. Of course the lawmakers loudly proclaim they are "doing it for the people" only because it keeps the people happy.

The huge number of ever changing rules and policies make it impossible for small mom and pop operations to compete with big business. A big company will have a team of employees constantly training to learn the new rules where a small business can't do that. The administrative costs just to manage these social programs are staggering. In a 1994 article, almost 18 years ago, they said it took 6 to 8 BILLION dollars a year just to "DELIVER food stamps, Medicaid and monthly cash benefits under the Aid to Families with Dependent Children program." That isn't the money paid to the recipients, that's just the cost to handle the money and that was almost 20 years ago!

It's too bad we can't streamline the system and make it more efficient. When Indiana slashed the number of people on welfare a few years ago they didn't lay off a single Social Service employee. How does that make sense?
